•           Hackney carriages (taxis) can be flagged on the street or placed on the ranks of taxis.

•           Private rental vehicles ('minicabs') are passenger vehicles that can be either 4-door saloons / hatchbacks, with licensed MPVs to carry four passengers or five to eight passengers. These may not be on the road.

o          Chauffeur cars are privately rented sub-sets; Usually a high priced car like a Mercedes or Jaguar where the passenger pays a premium but in return gets a high level of comfort and courtesy from the driver, some of whom wear uniforms.

There have been many models over the years. Although there is a lot of luggage in the passenger compartment, the space near the driver's seat can be used for luggage.To increase curiosity, the turn circle is shorter than other vehicles of the same size (the black cab is said to be able to turn "6p").To make it easier, there is a good headroom and a ramp for disabled people.
